Published Knowledge Articles feed to Slack Channel

Title: Published Articles added to the #spt_knowledege_published_articles

Problem Statement

We do not have notifications for PUBLISHED knowledge articles. Our Support Engineers feel its beneficial to know of knowledge articles that are published.

This gives all support engineers, technical reviewers ability to see all Published articles. Details include:

  • Article Title
  • Article Date
  • Article Author

Can this be done by an API ?

What is the problem?

Zendesk Tickets using the gitlab.com form and mention they are a Sales Assisted Trial do not get the prospect tag.

Why is this a problem?

Why By having the published articles in the slack channel :

  • Serves as a notification of articles published (Emails are NOT sent when an article is published)
  • searchable by users in slack
  • Promotes articles that have been created and published

Proposal

Add a feed of Published knowledge articles to the SLACK CHANNEL. Article is "Published" the article is then added to the slack channel (Using an API?)

The Slack Channel (#spt_knowledge_published_articles) should show all articles that have been published.
